Nominating Committee needs input
11. January 2010 by Norman Jameson, BR Editor
North Carolina Baptist business is led by people on the boards of our committees, institutions and agencies. Those people are nominated to those boards by — you — and elected by you to serve.
A nominating committee sorts and matches nominations but frankly, one of the committee’s biggest problems is that they do not receive enough nominations for all the vacant slots.
The committee needs and solicits nominations from you to consider. Don’t sit back and wonder how come this man “again” is named to a board or that pastor’s wife is now on the board he just left. Nominate someone yourself. Help the Convention break out of the “middle aged white men” leadership corral.
A form is
included (pdf)
. For more about nominations, see story. Send recommendations to Committee on Nominations, P.O. Box 1107, Cary, NC 27512–1107 or complete an online form at
recommend.ncbaptist.org
. Do it by Jan. 31.
